Recently while reading, I came across a statement which caused me to reflect. “There must need be opposition in all things”. As a physical therapist, I immediately thought of the many ways I use opposition to teach people how to create greater strength, flexibility, and balance in their bodies. My hope is to support them in improving their quality of life.
It occurred to me, since this phrase was about all things, how often we turn away from facing opposition in life. Frequently we choose to turn away from barriers which provide the opportunities which would strengthen, stretch and allow the practice of balance we need in our lives to be all that we can be.
When we face the opposition we become stronger, more flexible and have better balance in all things.
