3 Ways to use Essential Oils

Essential oils have gained popularity in recent years because they are a natural alternative for several everyday tasks. Pure Therapeutic grade oils are safe and effective. They have unique and beautiful aromas. Their use spans all the way from ancient civilizations to today. Essential oils can be used for things such as cooking, bathing, skin care, health and more.

Essential oils can be used in 3 primary ways.
1. Aromatically – you can breath the oils in. This can be done easily by putting a drop in your hands, rubbing them together, bringing them toward your face, and inhaling deeply. You can also put a drop or two on a cotton ball and place the cotton ball in front of a fan. Another way to use essential oils aromatically is by putting water in a diffuser, adding a few drops of oil, and turning the diffuser on.
2. Topically – you can apply most oils to your skin. When a pure oil is applied to the skin, it is absorbed. The oil has been measured in the bloodstream in less than a minute after topical application. Oils can be applied in order to moisturize the skin, support circulation in an area, calm the nervous system, and reduce anxiety.
3. Ingestion – you can consume some oils straight or in food and beverages. Not all oils can be ingested though. Please be sure that the essential oil that you are using can be ingested.  Read the label carefully.
